Data Analyst - operations reporting (Fresno, CA)

Fernwood Iron Auto Group operates automotive service and parts businesses around Fresno. We are hiring a Data Analyst to take on operations reporting. You would join a large organisation of about 337 people based in Fresno. What you will do • Document definitions so numbers mean the same thing everywhere. • Pull and clean data from several systems into one trustworthy dataset. • Build dashboards that managers actually open every week. • Investigate trends in parts orders and explain what is driving them. • Answer ad-hoc questions with a short written summary, not a data dump. What we are looking for • The habit of checking a surprising number before presenting it. • Experience with a BI tool such as Power BI or Tableau. • Strong SQL and spreadsheet skills. • Clear writing. Nice to have • Experience with data on warranty claims. • Python or R for analysis. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 28 hours a week, spread across three days. • On site in Fresno, with some flexibility after the first few months. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
