Data Analyst - operations reporting (Des Moines, IA)

Westbrook Stone Environmental Services is an environmental-services company in Des Moines with routes, transfer stations and recycling, and we need a Data Analyst to lead our operations reporting. We take pride in clean streets. What you will do • Document definitions so numbers mean the same thing everywhere. • Answer ad-hoc questions with a short written summary, not a data dump. • Pull and clean data from several systems into one trustworthy dataset. • Build dashboards that managers actually open every week. • Investigate trends in landfill records and explain what is driving them. What we are looking for • The habit of checking a surprising number before presenting it. • Clear writing. • Strong SQL and spreadsheet skills. • Experience with a BI tool such as Power BI or Tableau. Nice to have • Experience with data on collection routes. • Python or R for analysis. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 28 hours a week, with flexible days. • On site in Des Moines. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
