Data Analyst - operations reporting (Des Moines, IA)

Ironwood Bridge Transit Planning plans bus and rail service for cities around Des Moines. We are hiring a Data Analyst to take on operations reporting. You would join a large organisation of more than 1,000 people based in Des Moines. What you will do • Pull and clean data from several systems into one trustworthy dataset. • Recommend changes and measure whether they worked. • Build dashboards that managers actually open every week. • Investigate trends in route schedules and explain what is driving them. • Answer ad-hoc questions with a short written summary, not a data dump. What we are looking for • The habit of checking a surprising number before presenting it. • Strong SQL and spreadsheet skills. • Clear writing. • Experience with a BI tool such as Power BI or Tableau. Nice to have • Experience with data on ridership counts. • Python or R for analysis. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 28 hours a week, with flexible days. • On site in Des Moines. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
