Data Analyst - operations reporting (Columbus, OH)

Fernwood Bridge Freight is looking for a Data Analyst. The job centres on operations reporting for dock schedules, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. You would work closely with colleagues in operations, support and management. What you will do • Answer ad-hoc questions with a short written summary, not a data dump. • Investigate trends in dock schedules and explain what is driving them. • Recommend changes and measure whether they worked. • Pull and clean data from several systems into one trustworthy dataset. • Document definitions so numbers mean the same thing everywhere. What we are looking for • Clear writing. • Experience with a BI tool such as Power BI or Tableau. • The habit of checking a surprising number before presenting it. • Strong SQL and spreadsheet skills. Nice to have • Python or R for analysis. • Experience with data on claims. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 16 hours a week, with flexible days. • On site in Columbus. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
