Data Analyst - operations reporting (Columbus, OH)

Cedar Fern Freight is looking for a Data Analyst. The job centres on operations reporting for loads and lanes, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. On-time is the promise and we work hard to keep it. What you will do • Document definitions so numbers mean the same thing everywhere. • Build dashboards that managers actually open every week. • Investigate trends in loads and lanes and explain what is driving them. • Recommend changes and measure whether they worked. • Answer ad-hoc questions with a short written summary, not a data dump. What we are looking for • The habit of checking a surprising number before presenting it. • Experience with a BI tool such as Power BI or Tableau. • Clear writing. • Strong SQL and spreadsheet skills. Nice to have • Python or R for analysis. • Experience with data on carrier rates. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 28 hours a week, mornings. • On site in Columbus, with some flexibility after the first few months. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
