Data Analyst - operations reporting (Cincinnati, OH)

Redstone Cobalt Insurance is an insurance company in Cincinnati with claims and service teams. We are hiring a Data Analyst to take on operations reporting. Claims teams work together and share what they learn. What you will do • Document definitions so numbers mean the same thing everywhere. • Pull and clean data from several systems into one trustworthy dataset. • Answer ad-hoc questions with a short written summary, not a data dump. • Build dashboards that managers actually open every week. • Investigate trends in underwriting files and explain what is driving them. What we are looking for • The habit of checking a surprising number before presenting it. • Experience with a BI tool such as Power BI or Tableau. • Strong SQL and spreadsheet skills. • Clear writing. Nice to have • Python or R for analysis. • Experience with data on claims. Working arrangement • Contract for four months, with the possibility of becoming permanent. • On site in Cincinnati, with some flexibility after the first few months. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
