Data Analyst - operations reporting (Chicago, IL)

Foxglove Vista Water Authority supplies drinking water and treats wastewater for Chicago and nearby communities, and we need a Data Analyst to lead our operations reporting. You would join a large organisation of more than 1,000 people based in Chicago. What you will do • Investigate trends in treatment plant data and explain what is driving them. • Document definitions so numbers mean the same thing everywhere. • Recommend changes and measure whether they worked. • Answer ad-hoc questions with a short written summary, not a data dump. • Build dashboards that managers actually open every week. What we are looking for • Experience with a BI tool such as Power BI or Tableau. • The habit of checking a surprising number before presenting it. • Clear writing. • Strong SQL and spreadsheet skills. Nice to have • Python or R for analysis. • Experience with data on meter reading. Working arrangement • Contract for three months, with the possibility of becoming permanent. • On site in Chicago. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
