Data Analyst - operations reporting (Chicago, IL)

Redstone Yarrow Telecom is a telecommunications provider in Chicago focused on reliable home and business connections, and we need a Data Analyst to lead our operations reporting. Technicians and office staff share information daily. What you will do • Answer ad-hoc questions with a short written summary, not a data dump. • Document definitions so numbers mean the same thing everywhere. • Pull and clean data from several systems into one trustworthy dataset. • Investigate trends in customer tickets and explain what is driving them. • Recommend changes and measure whether they worked. What we are looking for • Experience with a BI tool such as Power BI or Tableau. • The habit of checking a surprising number before presenting it. • Strong SQL and spreadsheet skills. • Clear writing. Nice to have • Python or R for analysis. • Experience with data on outage reports. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 24 hours a week, spread across three days. • On site in Chicago. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
