Data Analyst - operations reporting (Charleston, SC)

Cedar North Insurance is looking for a Data Analyst. The job centres on operations reporting for premium billing, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. We invest in training for new adjusters. What you will do • Recommend changes and measure whether they worked. • Investigate trends in premium billing and explain what is driving them. • Pull and clean data from several systems into one trustworthy dataset. • Answer ad-hoc questions with a short written summary, not a data dump. • Build dashboards that managers actually open every week. What we are looking for • Clear writing. • Experience with a BI tool such as Power BI or Tableau. • Strong SQL and spreadsheet skills. • The habit of checking a surprising number before presenting it. Nice to have • Python or R for analysis. • Experience with data on claims. Working arrangement • Contract for three months, with the possibility of becoming permanent. • On site in Charleston, with some flexibility after the first few months. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
