Data Analyst - operations reporting (Buffalo, NY)

Harborlight Vista Manufacturing is a Buffalo manufacturer supplying regional industrial customers. We are hiring a Data Analyst to take on operations reporting. We value people who work safely and speak up. What you will do • Investigate trends in machine downtime and explain what is driving them. • Recommend changes and measure whether they worked. • Document definitions so numbers mean the same thing everywhere. • Build dashboards that managers actually open every week. • Answer ad-hoc questions with a short written summary, not a data dump. What we are looking for • Clear writing. • Experience with a BI tool such as Power BI or Tableau. • Strong SQL and spreadsheet skills. • The habit of checking a surprising number before presenting it. Nice to have • Experience with data on tooling. • Python or R for analysis. Working arrangement • Full-time, on a regular day shift. • On site in Buffalo, with some flexibility after the first few months. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
