Data Analyst - operations reporting (Buffalo, NY)

Cedar Stone Farms supplies farm and food customers across the Buffalo region. We are hiring a Data Analyst to take on operations reporting. You would join a small organisation of about 167 people based in Buffalo. What you will do • Investigate trends in cold storage and explain what is driving them. • Build dashboards that managers actually open every week. • Document definitions so numbers mean the same thing everywhere. • Pull and clean data from several systems into one trustworthy dataset. • Answer ad-hoc questions with a short written summary, not a data dump. What we are looking for • Strong SQL and spreadsheet skills. • Clear writing. • The habit of checking a surprising number before presenting it. • Experience with a BI tool such as Power BI or Tableau. Nice to have • Experience with data on field records. • Python or R for analysis. Working arrangement • Contract for four months, with clear deliverables from the first week. • On site in Buffalo, with some flexibility after the first few months. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
