Data Analyst - operations reporting (Buffalo, NY)

Nova Stone Banking Services is a community-focused bank in Buffalo serving households and small businesses. We are hiring a Data Analyst to take on operations reporting. Most people here started in a branch and stayed. What you will do • Document definitions so numbers mean the same thing everywhere. • Investigate trends in branch operations and explain what is driving them. • Answer ad-hoc questions with a short written summary, not a data dump. • Pull and clean data from several systems into one trustworthy dataset. • Recommend changes and measure whether they worked. What we are looking for • Clear writing. • Experience with a BI tool such as Power BI or Tableau. • The habit of checking a surprising number before presenting it. • Strong SQL and spreadsheet skills. Nice to have • Python or R for analysis. • Experience with data on loan files. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 20 hours a week, with flexible days. • On site in Buffalo. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
