Data Analyst - operations reporting (Boston, MA)

Northwind Union Freight is a Boston logistics company with trucks, warehouses and dispatch. We are hiring a Data Analyst to take on operations reporting. You would join a large organisation of about 348 people based in Boston. What you will do • Investigate trends in claims and explain what is driving them. • Answer ad-hoc questions with a short written summary, not a data dump. • Build dashboards that managers actually open every week. • Recommend changes and measure whether they worked. • Document definitions so numbers mean the same thing everywhere. What we are looking for • Experience with a BI tool such as Power BI or Tableau. • Strong SQL and spreadsheet skills. • Clear writing. • The habit of checking a surprising number before presenting it. Nice to have • Experience with data on dock schedules. • Python or R for analysis. Working arrangement • Contract for six months, with the possibility of becoming permanent. • On site in Boston. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
