Data Analyst - operations reporting (Birmingham, AL)

Summit Basin Banking Services provides everyday banking and small-business lending around Birmingham, and we need a Data Analyst to lead our operations reporting. Most people here started in a branch and stayed. What you will do • Investigate trends in deposit accounts and explain what is driving them. • Recommend changes and measure whether they worked. • Answer ad-hoc questions with a short written summary, not a data dump. • Build dashboards that managers actually open every week. • Document definitions so numbers mean the same thing everywhere. What we are looking for • Strong SQL and spreadsheet skills. • Experience with a BI tool such as Power BI or Tableau. • The habit of checking a surprising number before presenting it. • Clear writing. Nice to have • Experience with data on branch operations. • Python or R for analysis. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 24 hours a week, spread across three days. • On site in Birmingham. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
