Data Analyst - operations reporting (Birmingham, AL)

Stonegate Quarry Freight coordinates shipments and warehousing around Birmingham. We are hiring a Data Analyst to take on operations reporting. You would join a large organisation of about 417 people based in Birmingham. What you will do • Document definitions so numbers mean the same thing everywhere. • Recommend changes and measure whether they worked. • Build dashboards that managers actually open every week. • Pull and clean data from several systems into one trustworthy dataset. • Answer ad-hoc questions with a short written summary, not a data dump. What we are looking for • Clear writing. • Strong SQL and spreadsheet skills. • The habit of checking a surprising number before presenting it. • Experience with a BI tool such as Power BI or Tableau. Nice to have • Experience with data on dock schedules. • Python or R for analysis. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 24 hours a week, mornings. • On site in Birmingham. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
