Data Analyst - operations reporting (Birmingham, AL)

Lumen Wilder Financial is a financial-services company in Birmingham, and we need a Data Analyst to lead our operations reporting. You would join a small organisation of about 116 people based in Birmingham. What you will do • Recommend changes and measure whether they worked. • Build dashboards that managers actually open every week. • Answer ad-hoc questions with a short written summary, not a data dump. • Investigate trends in vendor spend and explain what is driving them. • Document definitions so numbers mean the same thing everywhere. What we are looking for • Experience with a BI tool such as Power BI or Tableau. • The habit of checking a surprising number before presenting it. • Clear writing. • Strong SQL and spreadsheet skills. Nice to have • Experience with data on regulatory reports. • Python or R for analysis. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 16 hours a week, mornings. • On site in Birmingham. • We reply to every applicant.
