Data Analyst - operations reporting (Birmingham, AL)

Cedar Umber Legal Group is a Birmingham practice with attorneys, paralegals and client-service staff. We are hiring a Data Analyst to take on operations reporting. You would work closely with colleagues in operations, support and management. What you will do • Build dashboards that managers actually open every week. • Pull and clean data from several systems into one trustworthy dataset. • Document definitions so numbers mean the same thing everywhere. • Recommend changes and measure whether they worked. • Investigate trends in billing records and explain what is driving them. What we are looking for • Experience with a BI tool such as Power BI or Tableau. • Clear writing. • The habit of checking a surprising number before presenting it. • Strong SQL and spreadsheet skills. Nice to have • Experience with data on trust accounts. • Python or R for analysis. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 28 hours a week, spread across three days. • On site in Birmingham. • We reply to every applicant.
