Data Analyst - operations reporting (Birmingham, AL)

Amberfield Quill Hospitality is a hospitality company in Birmingham with restaurants, rooms and catering, and we need a Data Analyst to lead our operations reporting. You would join a small organisation of about 20 people based in Birmingham. What you will do • Answer ad-hoc questions with a short written summary, not a data dump. • Investigate trends in group events and explain what is driving them. • Document definitions so numbers mean the same thing everywhere. • Build dashboards that managers actually open every week. • Recommend changes and measure whether they worked. What we are looking for • The habit of checking a surprising number before presenting it. • Strong SQL and spreadsheet skills. • Clear writing. • Experience with a BI tool such as Power BI or Tableau. Nice to have • Experience with data on supplier orders. • Python or R for analysis. Working arrangement • Contract for four months, with a review at the end and a chance of extension. • On site in Birmingham, with some flexibility after the first few months. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
