Data Analyst - operations reporting (Birmingham, AL)

Stonegate Ember Community Partners runs community programmes across Birmingham. We are hiring a Data Analyst to take on operations reporting. Mission matters here, and so does looking after staff. What you will do • Build dashboards that managers actually open every week. • Investigate trends in grant reporting and explain what is driving them. • Answer ad-hoc questions with a short written summary, not a data dump. • Document definitions so numbers mean the same thing everywhere. • Pull and clean data from several systems into one trustworthy dataset. What we are looking for • Strong SQL and spreadsheet skills. • Clear writing. • Experience with a BI tool such as Power BI or Tableau. • The habit of checking a surprising number before presenting it. Nice to have • Python or R for analysis. • Experience with data on benefits enrolment. Working arrangement • Contract for nine months, with a review at the end and a chance of extension. • On site in Birmingham. • We reply to every applicant.
