Data Analyst - operations reporting (Baltimore, MD)

Fernwood Vale Construction is looking for a Data Analyst. The job centres on operations reporting for subcontractor invoices, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. What you will do • Document definitions so numbers mean the same thing everywhere. • Answer ad-hoc questions with a short written summary, not a data dump. • Pull and clean data from several systems into one trustworthy dataset. • Recommend changes and measure whether they worked. • Investigate trends in subcontractor invoices and explain what is driving them. What we are looking for • Strong SQL and spreadsheet skills. • Clear writing. • Experience with a BI tool such as Power BI or Tableau. • The habit of checking a surprising number before presenting it. Nice to have • Experience with data on change orders. • Python or R for analysis. Working arrangement • Full-time, with a steady weekday schedule. • On site in Baltimore, with some flexibility after the first few months. • We reply to every applicant.
