Data Analyst - operations reporting (Baltimore, MD)

Ironwood North Insurance is looking for a Data Analyst. The job centres on operations reporting for underwriting files, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. You would work closely with colleagues in operations, support and management. What you will do • Investigate trends in underwriting files and explain what is driving them. • Pull and clean data from several systems into one trustworthy dataset. • Document definitions so numbers mean the same thing everywhere. • Answer ad-hoc questions with a short written summary, not a data dump. • Recommend changes and measure whether they worked. What we are looking for • Strong SQL and spreadsheet skills. • Experience with a BI tool such as Power BI or Tableau. • The habit of checking a surprising number before presenting it. • Clear writing. Nice to have • Python or R for analysis. • Experience with data on customer complaints. Working arrangement • Contract for six months, with clear deliverables from the first week. • On site in Baltimore. • We reply to every applicant.
