Data Analyst - operations reporting (Baltimore, MD)

Bright Iron Markets is looking for a Data Analyst. The job centres on operations reporting for store inventory, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. We like people who know our customers by name. What you will do • Build dashboards that managers actually open every week. • Recommend changes and measure whether they worked. • Investigate trends in store inventory and explain what is driving them. • Document definitions so numbers mean the same thing everywhere. • Pull and clean data from several systems into one trustworthy dataset. What we are looking for • Experience with a BI tool such as Power BI or Tableau. • The habit of checking a surprising number before presenting it. • Clear writing. • Strong SQL and spreadsheet skills. Nice to have • Experience with data on pricing. • Python or R for analysis. Working arrangement • Contract for nine months, with a review at the end and a chance of extension. • On site in Baltimore. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
