Data Analyst - operations reporting (Anchorage, AK)

Foxglove Rowan Banking Services Group is looking for a Data Analyst. The job centres on operations reporting for fraud alerts, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. Most people here started in a branch and stayed. What you will do • Investigate trends in fraud alerts and explain what is driving them. • Build dashboards that managers actually open every week. • Document definitions so numbers mean the same thing everywhere. • Pull and clean data from several systems into one trustworthy dataset. • Answer ad-hoc questions with a short written summary, not a data dump. What we are looking for • Clear writing. • Experience with a BI tool such as Power BI or Tableau. • Strong SQL and spreadsheet skills. • The habit of checking a surprising number before presenting it. Nice to have • Experience with data on deposit accounts. • Python or R for analysis. Working arrangement • Contract for eight months, with clear deliverables from the first week. • On site in Anchorage, with some flexibility after the first few months. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
