Data Analyst - forecasting (San Jose, CA)

We are growing our team at Fernwood Bright Medical and adding a Data Analyst whose main responsibility will be forecasting. You would join a small organisation of about 57 people based in San Jose. What you will do • Investigate trends in clinical evaluations and explain what is driving them. • Pull and clean data from several systems into one trustworthy dataset. • Document definitions so numbers mean the same thing everywhere. • Recommend changes and measure whether they worked. • Answer ad-hoc questions with a short written summary, not a data dump. What we are looking for • Strong SQL and spreadsheet skills. • Experience with a BI tool such as Power BI or Tableau. • The habit of checking a surprising number before presenting it. • Clear writing. Nice to have • Experience with data on regulatory submissions. • Python or R for analysis. Working arrangement • Contract for twelve months, with a review at the end and a chance of extension. • On site in San Jose. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
