Data Analyst - forecasting (San Jose, CA)

We are growing our team at Fernwood Union Banking Services and adding a Data Analyst whose main responsibility will be forecasting. You would work closely with colleagues in operations, support and management. What you will do • Build dashboards that managers actually open every week. • Recommend changes and measure whether they worked. • Investigate trends in account openings and explain what is driving them. • Answer ad-hoc questions with a short written summary, not a data dump. • Pull and clean data from several systems into one trustworthy dataset. What we are looking for • Clear writing. • Strong SQL and spreadsheet skills. • The habit of checking a surprising number before presenting it. • Experience with a BI tool such as Power BI or Tableau. Nice to have • Experience with data on branch operations. • Python or R for analysis. Working arrangement • Contract for six months, with a review at the end and a chance of extension. • On site in San Jose. • We reply to every applicant.
