Data Analyst - forecasting (San Jose, CA)

Cedar Bright Community Partners is looking for a Data Analyst. The job centres on forecasting for volunteer shifts, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. We are small enough to know everyone's name. What you will do • Document definitions so numbers mean the same thing everywhere. • Investigate trends in volunteer shifts and explain what is driving them. • Answer ad-hoc questions with a short written summary, not a data dump. • Build dashboards that managers actually open every week. • Recommend changes and measure whether they worked. What we are looking for • The habit of checking a surprising number before presenting it. • Clear writing. • Experience with a BI tool such as Power BI or Tableau. • Strong SQL and spreadsheet skills. Nice to have • Experience with data on donor records. • Python or R for analysis. Working arrangement • Contract for six months, with clear deliverables from the first week. • On site in San Jose. • We reply to every applicant.
