Data Analyst - forecasting (San Jose, CA)

We are growing our team at Highbridge Sable Markets Group and adding a Data Analyst whose main responsibility will be forecasting. We are friendly and busy, especially on weekends. What you will do • Document definitions so numbers mean the same thing everywhere. • Build dashboards that managers actually open every week. • Answer ad-hoc questions with a short written summary, not a data dump. • Recommend changes and measure whether they worked. • Investigate trends in shrink and waste and explain what is driving them. What we are looking for • The habit of checking a surprising number before presenting it. • Strong SQL and spreadsheet skills. • Experience with a BI tool such as Power BI or Tableau. • Clear writing. Nice to have • Python or R for analysis. • Experience with data on promotions. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 20 hours a week, afternoons. • On site in San Jose. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
