Data Analyst - forecasting (San Diego, CA)

We are growing our team at Cedar Lakeside Energy and adding a Data Analyst whose main responsibility will be forecasting. You would join a large organisation of about 373 people based in San Diego. What you will do • Document definitions so numbers mean the same thing everywhere. • Investigate trends in billing disputes and explain what is driving them. • Recommend changes and measure whether they worked. • Answer ad-hoc questions with a short written summary, not a data dump. • Build dashboards that managers actually open every week. What we are looking for • Experience with a BI tool such as Power BI or Tableau. • Clear writing. • Strong SQL and spreadsheet skills. • The habit of checking a surprising number before presenting it. Nice to have • Experience with data on outage response. • Python or R for analysis. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 16 hours a week, spread across three days. • On site in San Diego. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
