Data Analyst - forecasting (San Diego, CA)

Lumen Transit Planning Group plans bus and rail service for cities around San Diego, and we need a Data Analyst to lead our forecasting. You would join a small organisation of about 177 people based in San Diego. What you will do • Pull and clean data from several systems into one trustworthy dataset. • Document definitions so numbers mean the same thing everywhere. • Answer ad-hoc questions with a short written summary, not a data dump. • Investigate trends in fare systems and explain what is driving them. • Recommend changes and measure whether they worked. What we are looking for • Strong SQL and spreadsheet skills. • Clear writing. • Experience with a BI tool such as Power BI or Tableau. • The habit of checking a surprising number before presenting it. Nice to have • Python or R for analysis. • Experience with data on accessibility audits.
