Data Analyst - forecasting (San Diego, CA)

Nova Union Inspection Services Partners tests and certifies buildings, pipelines and equipment around San Diego, and we need a Data Analyst to lead our forecasting. Training and certification are paid for. What you will do • Recommend changes and measure whether they worked. • Document definitions so numbers mean the same thing everywhere. • Build dashboards that managers actually open every week. • Answer ad-hoc questions with a short written summary, not a data dump. • Investigate trends in scheduling and explain what is driving them. What we are looking for • Strong SQL and spreadsheet skills. • Experience with a BI tool such as Power BI or Tableau. • The habit of checking a surprising number before presenting it. • Clear writing. Nice to have • Experience with data on client sites. • Python or R for analysis. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 16 hours a week, mornings. • On site in San Diego. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
