Data Analyst - forecasting (San Diego, CA)

Nova Maple Water Authority Partners is looking for a Data Analyst. The job centres on forecasting for treatment plant data, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. Crews and office staff work closely together. What you will do • Document definitions so numbers mean the same thing everywhere. • Investigate trends in treatment plant data and explain what is driving them. • Recommend changes and measure whether they worked. • Answer ad-hoc questions with a short written summary, not a data dump. • Build dashboards that managers actually open every week. What we are looking for • The habit of checking a surprising number before presenting it. • Clear writing. • Experience with a BI tool such as Power BI or Tableau. • Strong SQL and spreadsheet skills. Nice to have • Python or R for analysis. • Experience with data on capital projects. Working arrangement • Contract for eight months, with a review at the end and a chance of extension. • On site in San Diego. • We reply to every applicant.
