Data Analyst - forecasting (San Diego, CA)

Cedar Orchard Environmental Services collects and processes waste and recycling around San Diego. We are hiring a Data Analyst to take on forecasting. You would join a small organisation of about 26 people based in San Diego. What you will do • Recommend changes and measure whether they worked. • Answer ad-hoc questions with a short written summary, not a data dump. • Document definitions so numbers mean the same thing everywhere. • Pull and clean data from several systems into one trustworthy dataset. • Build dashboards that managers actually open every week. What we are looking for • Experience with a BI tool such as Power BI or Tableau. • Clear writing. • The habit of checking a surprising number before presenting it. • Strong SQL and spreadsheet skills. Nice to have • Experience with data on landfill records. • Python or R for analysis. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 20 hours a week, with flexible days. • On site in San Diego. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
