Data Analyst - forecasting (San Antonio, TX)

Redstone North Insurance sells home, auto and small-business insurance in San Antonio. We are hiring a Data Analyst to take on forecasting. You would work closely with colleagues in operations, support and management. What you will do • Recommend changes and measure whether they worked. • Document definitions so numbers mean the same thing everywhere. • Pull and clean data from several systems into one trustworthy dataset. • Answer ad-hoc questions with a short written summary, not a data dump. • Investigate trends in customer complaints and explain what is driving them. What we are looking for • Experience with a BI tool such as Power BI or Tableau. • Strong SQL and spreadsheet skills. • The habit of checking a surprising number before presenting it. • Clear writing. Nice to have • Experience with data on claims. • Python or R for analysis. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 20 hours a week, with flexible days. • On site in San Antonio. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
