Data Analyst - forecasting (Salt Lake City, UT)

Fernwood Ashton Freight moves freight for manufacturers and retailers out of Salt Lake City. We are hiring a Data Analyst to take on forecasting. You would join a small organisation of about 44 people based in Salt Lake City. What you will do • Recommend changes and measure whether they worked. • Document definitions so numbers mean the same thing everywhere. • Pull and clean data from several systems into one trustworthy dataset. • Answer ad-hoc questions with a short written summary, not a data dump. • Build dashboards that managers actually open every week. What we are looking for • The habit of checking a surprising number before presenting it. • Strong SQL and spreadsheet skills. • Experience with a BI tool such as Power BI or Tableau. • Clear writing. Nice to have • Python or R for analysis. • Experience with data on claims. Working arrangement • Contract for eight months, with a review at the end and a chance of extension. • On site in Salt Lake City. • We reply to every applicant.
