Data Analyst - forecasting (Salt Lake City, UT)

Summit Oak Hospitality is looking for a Data Analyst. The job centres on forecasting for group events, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. Promotion from within is common. What you will do • Build dashboards that managers actually open every week. • Investigate trends in group events and explain what is driving them. • Document definitions so numbers mean the same thing everywhere. • Pull and clean data from several systems into one trustworthy dataset. • Answer ad-hoc questions with a short written summary, not a data dump. What we are looking for • Strong SQL and spreadsheet skills. • Clear writing. • The habit of checking a surprising number before presenting it. • Experience with a BI tool such as Power BI or Tableau. Nice to have • Experience with data on supplier orders. • Python or R for analysis. Working arrangement • Full-time, on a regular day shift. • On site in Salt Lake City, with some flexibility after the first few months. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
