Data Analyst - forecasting (Sacramento, CA)

Bright Hollow Transit Planning is a transit-planning firm in Sacramento working with agencies and riders, and we need a Data Analyst to lead our forecasting. You would join a large organisation of more than 1,000 people based in Sacramento. What you will do • Recommend changes and measure whether they worked. • Document definitions so numbers mean the same thing everywhere. • Investigate trends in route schedules and explain what is driving them. • Build dashboards that managers actually open every week. • Pull and clean data from several systems into one trustworthy dataset. What we are looking for • Clear writing. • The habit of checking a surprising number before presenting it. • Strong SQL and spreadsheet skills. • Experience with a BI tool such as Power BI or Tableau. Nice to have • Experience with data on survey data. • Python or R for analysis. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 24 hours a week, afternoons. • On site in Sacramento. • We reply to every applicant.
