Data Analyst - forecasting (Rochester, NY)

Silverline Oak Banking Services provides everyday banking and small-business lending around Rochester. We are hiring a Data Analyst to take on forecasting. We keep decisions close to customers and expect people to explain things plainly. What you will do • Investigate trends in loan files and explain what is driving them. • Pull and clean data from several systems into one trustworthy dataset. • Recommend changes and measure whether they worked. • Answer ad-hoc questions with a short written summary, not a data dump. • Document definitions so numbers mean the same thing everywhere. What we are looking for • Clear writing. • Strong SQL and spreadsheet skills. • Experience with a BI tool such as Power BI or Tableau. • The habit of checking a surprising number before presenting it. Nice to have • Python or R for analysis. • Experience with data on branch operations. Working arrangement • Contract for three months, with the possibility of becoming permanent. • On site in Rochester. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
