Data Analyst - forecasting (Rochester, NY)

Harborlight Juniper Freight moves freight for manufacturers and retailers out of Rochester, and we need a Data Analyst to lead our forecasting. You would join a small organisation of about 26 people based in Rochester. What you will do • Build dashboards that managers actually open every week. • Investigate trends in loads and lanes and explain what is driving them. • Document definitions so numbers mean the same thing everywhere. • Pull and clean data from several systems into one trustworthy dataset. • Answer ad-hoc questions with a short written summary, not a data dump. What we are looking for • Clear writing. • Strong SQL and spreadsheet skills. • Experience with a BI tool such as Power BI or Tableau. • The habit of checking a surprising number before presenting it. Nice to have • Python or R for analysis. • Experience with data on dock schedules. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 16 hours a week, afternoons. • On site in Rochester. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
