Data Analyst - forecasting (Richmond, VA)

We are growing our team at Summit Glen Transit Planning and adding a Data Analyst whose main responsibility will be forecasting. You would join a small organisation of about 19 people based in Richmond. What you will do • Investigate trends in route schedules and explain what is driving them. • Build dashboards that managers actually open every week. • Pull and clean data from several systems into one trustworthy dataset. • Document definitions so numbers mean the same thing everywhere. • Answer ad-hoc questions with a short written summary, not a data dump. What we are looking for • Clear writing. • Experience with a BI tool such as Power BI or Tableau. • The habit of checking a surprising number before presenting it. • Strong SQL and spreadsheet skills. Nice to have • Experience with data on fare systems. • Python or R for analysis. Working arrangement • Contract for six months, with a review at the end and a chance of extension. • On site in Richmond. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
