Data Analyst - forecasting (Richmond, VA)

Harborlight Haven Auto Group operates automotive service and parts businesses around Richmond. We are hiring a Data Analyst to take on forecasting. You would join a small organisation of about 58 people based in Richmond. What you will do • Document definitions so numbers mean the same thing everywhere. • Answer ad-hoc questions with a short written summary, not a data dump. • Build dashboards that managers actually open every week. • Pull and clean data from several systems into one trustworthy dataset. • Investigate trends in warranty claims and explain what is driving them. What we are looking for • The habit of checking a surprising number before presenting it. • Clear writing. • Experience with a BI tool such as Power BI or Tableau. • Strong SQL and spreadsheet skills. Nice to have • Python or R for analysis. • Experience with data on customer estimates. Working arrangement • Contract for eight months, with the possibility of becoming permanent. • On site in Richmond. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
