Data Analyst - forecasting (Reno, NV)

Silverline Mill Transit Planning is looking for a Data Analyst. The job centres on forecasting for route schedules, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. You would work closely with colleagues in operations, support and management. What you will do • Answer ad-hoc questions with a short written summary, not a data dump. • Build dashboards that managers actually open every week. • Recommend changes and measure whether they worked. • Document definitions so numbers mean the same thing everywhere. • Investigate trends in route schedules and explain what is driving them. What we are looking for • Experience with a BI tool such as Power BI or Tableau. • The habit of checking a surprising number before presenting it. • Strong SQL and spreadsheet skills. • Clear writing. Nice to have • Python or R for analysis. • Experience with data on accessibility audits. Working arrangement • Contract for six months, with the possibility of becoming permanent. • On site in Reno, with some flexibility after the first few months. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
