Data Analyst - forecasting (Reno, NV)

Northwind Sable Auto Group operates automotive service and parts businesses around Reno. We are hiring a Data Analyst to take on forecasting. Technicians are respected and trained. What you will do • Investigate trends in customer estimates and explain what is driving them. • Build dashboards that managers actually open every week. • Document definitions so numbers mean the same thing everywhere. • Recommend changes and measure whether they worked. • Answer ad-hoc questions with a short written summary, not a data dump. What we are looking for • Experience with a BI tool such as Power BI or Tableau. • The habit of checking a surprising number before presenting it. • Strong SQL and spreadsheet skills. • Clear writing. Nice to have • Experience with data on warranty claims. • Python or R for analysis. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 16 hours a week, spread across three days. • On site in Reno. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
