Data Analyst - forecasting (remote)

Northwind West Freight Partners is looking for a Data Analyst. The job centres on forecasting for dock schedules, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. On-time is the promise and we work hard to keep it. What you will do • Build dashboards that managers actually open every week. • Investigate trends in dock schedules and explain what is driving them. • Answer ad-hoc questions with a short written summary, not a data dump. • Recommend changes and measure whether they worked. • Document definitions so numbers mean the same thing everywhere. What we are looking for • Clear writing. • Strong SQL and spreadsheet skills. • The habit of checking a surprising number before presenting it. • Experience with a BI tool such as Power BI or Tableau. Nice to have • Experience with data on claims. • Python or R for analysis. Working arrangement • Full-time, Monday to Friday. • Remote-friendly, with a monthly team day in Madison. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
