Data Analyst - forecasting (remote)

We are growing our team at Fernwood Pine Markets Group and adding a Data Analyst whose main responsibility will be forecasting. You would work closely with colleagues in operations, support and management. What you will do • Document definitions so numbers mean the same thing everywhere. • Build dashboards that managers actually open every week. • Answer ad-hoc questions with a short written summary, not a data dump. • Recommend changes and measure whether they worked. • Investigate trends in store inventory and explain what is driving them. What we are looking for • Clear writing. • Experience with a BI tool such as Power BI or Tableau. • The habit of checking a surprising number before presenting it. • Strong SQL and spreadsheet skills. Nice to have • Python or R for analysis. • Experience with data on online orders. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 28 hours a week, mornings. • Remote-friendly, with quarterly visits in Minneapolis. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
