Data Analyst - forecasting (remote)

Northwind Forge Environmental Services is looking for a Data Analyst. The job centres on forecasting for fleet maintenance, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. You would join a small organisation of about 11 people, working mostly from home. What you will do • Recommend changes and measure whether they worked. • Investigate trends in fleet maintenance and explain what is driving them. • Pull and clean data from several systems into one trustworthy dataset. • Answer ad-hoc questions with a short written summary, not a data dump. • Document definitions so numbers mean the same thing everywhere. What we are looking for • Experience with a BI tool such as Power BI or Tableau. • Clear writing. • Strong SQL and spreadsheet skills. • The habit of checking a surprising number before presenting it. Nice to have • Python or R for analysis. • Experience with data on weigh tickets. Working arrangement • Contract for four months, with clear deliverables from the first week. • Fully remote, with quarterly visits in Sacramento. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
