Data Analyst - forecasting (remote)

Bright Ridge Insurance Partners provides coverage to households and businesses around Birmingham, and we need a Data Analyst to lead our forecasting. We invest in training for new adjusters. What you will do • Recommend changes and measure whether they worked. • Investigate trends in underwriting files and explain what is driving them. • Answer ad-hoc questions with a short written summary, not a data dump. • Pull and clean data from several systems into one trustworthy dataset. • Document definitions so numbers mean the same thing everywhere. What we are looking for • Clear writing. • The habit of checking a surprising number before presenting it. • Experience with a BI tool such as Power BI or Tableau. • Strong SQL and spreadsheet skills. Nice to have • Python or R for analysis. • Experience with data on claims. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 28 hours a week, spread across three days. • Fully remote, with an occasional day on site in Birmingham. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
