Data Analyst - forecasting (remote)

Northwind West Energy is an energy provider in Cincinnati focused on reliable service and fair billing. We are hiring a Data Analyst to take on forecasting. Reliability is the job, and people here take pride in answering the phone at 3 a.m. when needed. What you will do • Pull and clean data from several systems into one trustworthy dataset. • Investigate trends in hardship programmes and explain what is driving them. • Answer ad-hoc questions with a short written summary, not a data dump. • Document definitions so numbers mean the same thing everywhere. • Recommend changes and measure whether they worked. What we are looking for • Clear writing. • Experience with a BI tool such as Power BI or Tableau. • Strong SQL and spreadsheet skills. • The habit of checking a surprising number before presenting it. Nice to have • Python or R for analysis. • Experience with data on usage data. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 20 hours a week, afternoons. • Remote-friendly, with quarterly visits in Cincinnati. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
