Data Analyst - forecasting (remote)

Ironwood Forge Arts Center is an arts centre in Boston with a full calendar of events. We are hiring a Data Analyst to take on forecasting. Evenings and weekends are part of the job. What you will do • Document definitions so numbers mean the same thing everywhere. • Answer ad-hoc questions with a short written summary, not a data dump. • Recommend changes and measure whether they worked. • Investigate trends in exhibitions and explain what is driving them. • Pull and clean data from several systems into one trustworthy dataset. What we are looking for • Experience with a BI tool such as Power BI or Tableau. • The habit of checking a surprising number before presenting it. • Strong SQL and spreadsheet skills. • Clear writing. Nice to have • Experience with data on volunteer programmes. • Python or R for analysis. Working arrangement • Contract for eight months, with the possibility of becoming permanent. • Remote-friendly, with a monthly team day in Boston. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
