Data Analyst - forecasting (remote)

Silverline Kestrel Insurance Group is an insurance company in Omaha with claims and service teams, and we need a Data Analyst to lead our forecasting. We care about how people feel on the worst day of their year. What you will do • Recommend changes and measure whether they worked. • Build dashboards that managers actually open every week. • Answer ad-hoc questions with a short written summary, not a data dump. • Investigate trends in underwriting files and explain what is driving them. • Pull and clean data from several systems into one trustworthy dataset. What we are looking for • Strong SQL and spreadsheet skills. • Clear writing. • Experience with a BI tool such as Power BI or Tableau. • The habit of checking a surprising number before presenting it. Nice to have • Python or R for analysis. • Experience with data on premium billing. Working arrangement • Full-time, Monday to Friday. • Remote-friendly, with a monthly team day in Omaha. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
