Data Analyst - forecasting (remote)

Bright Transit Planning is looking for a Data Analyst. The job centres on forecasting for service alerts, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. We value plain explanations. What you will do • Investigate trends in service alerts and explain what is driving them. • Build dashboards that managers actually open every week. • Recommend changes and measure whether they worked. • Answer ad-hoc questions with a short written summary, not a data dump. • Pull and clean data from several systems into one trustworthy dataset. What we are looking for • Strong SQL and spreadsheet skills. • Experience with a BI tool such as Power BI or Tableau. • The habit of checking a surprising number before presenting it. • Clear writing. Nice to have • Experience with data on accessibility audits. • Python or R for analysis. Working arrangement • Full-time, with a steady weekday schedule. • Remote-friendly, with quarterly visits in Louisville. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
